Anu is passionate about commercial litigation and arbitration, having cut her teeth in legal practice at a leading law firm in Nigeria, where she gained relevant experience in diverse areas of commercial dispute resolution.


Anu has played key roles in dispute resolution involving:


  • a major multinational oil company and an indigenous transport company that provided transportation services to the multinational oil company, for alleged breach of supply contract;
  • an anti-corruption agency and a capital market regulator against a former managing director of a leading Nigerian bank, which arose as a result of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s sanitization of the banking industry;
  • a subsidiary of Nigeria’s pioneer trading conglomerate and the Federal Government of Nigeria, in a land ownership litigation in respect of a large expanse of land located in Parkview, Ikoyi, Lagos;
  • the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in a N38,000,000,000 (Thirty-Eight Billion Naira) pipeline explosion claim made by representatives of the victims of the pipeline explosion, which occurred in the Ijegun Community, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State;
  • a leading telecommunications firm in a copyright infringement case for alleged use of music in the advertisement of its products, without seeking the requisite approval;
  • a major multinational oil company in a trade dispute with its workers who are members of a trade union, the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG);
