Francis Akinlotan (RIP)

Francis was an astute and dynamic lawyer with expertise in dispute resolution, family law, real estate, capital market, banking and finance, company law, planning and administration of estate, telecommunications, and a strong interest in Islamic finance.

He had advised several international clients on various Nigerian and international transactions. He headed the Firm’s company secretarial/advisory services and was an expert on corporate governance compliance. He also participates actively in the Firm’s legal aid program for indigent prisoners. Francis had also conducted several trials in highly contentious general civil matters, labour law, commercial, inheritance and land disputes.

Francis was a key member of the Data Protection Compliance Practice, and was involved in the development of data privacy policies and data processing agreements, researching and providing legal advice.

He passed away on Friday, 8th April 2022, and remains with us through the life he led and his enduring spirit.
